Product Description

ALLEVYN Adhesive Foam Dressings are designed to manage moderate to highly exuding wounds by maintaining a moist healing environment, which promotes faster healing and prevents fluid and bacterial penetration.

Key Features

• Triple-Layer Construction: Combines an absorbent hydrocellular pad between a perforated adhesive wound contact layer and a highly permeable waterproof outer film.
• Secure Adhesion: The low-allergy adhesive ensures the dressing stays in place without adhering to the wound, providing comfort and reducing the risk of skin irritation.
• Extended Wear Time: Can be left in place for up to 7 days, depending on the level of exudate and the condition of the wound.
• Waterproof and Bacteria-Proof: The top film prevents fluid and bacterial penetration, reducing the risk of infection.

Indications for Use

Suitable for various wound types, including:

• Shallow, granulating wounds.
• Chronic and acute exudative wounds.
• Full and partial thickness wounds such as pressure ulcers, leg ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, malignant wounds, surgical wounds, donor sites, and fungating ulcers.

Application Instructions

1. Clean and dry the skin around the wound area.
2. Remove one of the protector films from the dressing.
3. Anchor the adhesive side of the dressing to the skin, ensuring it covers the wound with at least a 3cm border from the edge of the wound.
4. Smooth the dressing over the wound, removing the remaining protector film as you apply it.

Precautions

• Do not use with oxidizing agents such as EUSOL or hydrogen peroxide, as these can break down the absorbent polyurethane component of the dressing.
• Monitor for signs of irritation or sensitization; discontinue use if these occur and consult a healthcare professional.
• Single-use only; do not reuse to avoid cross-contamination or infection.
